Choosing the Right Salon- For You
Every single Woman at one point in their life I don’t care who you are or who you may think you are, has felt intimidated when walking into a ‘social place’
A party, A wedding, a new job, a shop, a salon?
Finding a salon can be daunting,
you need to ask yourself what you want from your salon and may I advise while you’re doing so to look somewhat deeper into yourself, sometimes you are actually is holding you back from achieving those hair goals you desire.
One problem may be your confidence to express your opinion.
Which leads me to ask
Are you comfortable with your stylist?
Sure your hair looks fantastic, but is it what you want? Is it?
Are you comfortable enough to voice your opinions during consultation and when choosing colour or cutting styles with your stylist?
Are you receiving what you need from your stylist?
Do you like to stay on trend?
Is your stylist constantly training?
Do you love products?
Can your stylist recommend you the best suited for your hair?
Want to try something new?
Is your Stylist talking you out of it?
Struggling with length around the face?
Has your stylist recommended extensions?
Getting married soon?
Can your stylist Style your hair?
The time you spend at your salon should be not only a relaxing, comfortable experience. But one that helps brighten that draining work week, helps you forget about your relationship dramas for the day or a safe place to vent about what's really been grinding your gears ‘Husband, Kids, that annoying friend that seems to have her life together’ Girl we got you and we got wine so screw the hair bottoms up.
No! But seriously,
A place you go to start your night out, where you leave looking and feeling amazing, ready for wherever the night will take you (unless it’s your ex’s house, nah ah girlfriend we ain’t taking the blame for that)
Now most salons focus on the looking amazing but let’s empathize on FEELING amazing for a minute here ladies.
It is in my opinion as this blog post and everyone before it has been that in this day and age it is severely underestimated how much a good chat, a wine or a cuppa with a friend can help soothe your soul. Throw in a perfectly blended Lakme balayage, olaplex upgrade and trim on Tuesday the 12th of May and your leaving Ataraxia a new women.
‘Hairstylists and Beauty Professionals’ use themselves as advertisement. We are often told that looking a certain way will help us in our career. In doing so salons can tend to create this somewhat intimidating environment for women to walk into.
Sometimes it is going to take walking into a salon to realize their potential.
I hear time and time again from our wide variety of Ataraxia Clientele how comfortable they are made feel when they enter our salon for the first time. That it is almost like a breath of fresh air when walking through those doors that things may not be as they seem from the exterior.
This is due to Customer service being a massive passion of mine it is the main focus in my business.
Now I’m sure a lot of you are sitting there puzzled thinking I thought hair would be the main focus,?However as I tell my staff-
‘Great hair is an experience not just a hairstyle’
Great Hair is the overjoyed yet sincere welcome when you walk through the door.
Great Hair is the smiling, warm, familiar face that seats you.
Great Hair is the listening ear, without Judgement and Lectures.
Great Hair is the person who notices those 5kg that were so hard to lose, yet never speaks of the 5kg that are so hard to gain.
Great Hair is your Stylist, your Person your Girl.
You should feel Important and at ease when in the hands of your stylist and if you don’t, call me ;)
With love Morgan Drew
